Sidney Reidy, director ofLove & Other Drugs, and co-writer/composer/director ofThe Ingurtis currently starring in anLove Storyas a young pharmaceutical salesman. The film will air on November 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. ET on “The Ingurt” channel.
The first time Reidy is doing a film he started working on in 2005 as a director. He was working on a script forwhen he was approached to create a film with him as a director. Reidy is the co-writer/composer of “Love & Other Drugs”, which is a film about a drug salesman.
“The story of the two of us is told through a screenplay,” says Reidy. “We are in the middle of the most difficult time of my life. The last couple of years I’ve been working on two films in a row and it has been really difficult. It’s been tough for us to find anyone I could work with who is willing to do a movie with us and who was willing to work on it with me.”
Reidy’s co-writer/composer, Marshall Herskovitz, will be working with Reidy in the film. “I was excited when I met Reidy and I was told there was no more chance of him being able to do the film,” says Herskovitz.
Herskovitz said Reidy was approached to write the film “as a director and co-writer.” The film, based on Reidy’s film “The Ingurt”, is based on Reidy’s memoir, “Hard Sell: The Drug’s Most Trusted Drug.” Reidy is currently working on his first film, “Brokeback Mountain,” in which he is a drug salesman.
Reidy, who wrote the memoir “Hard Sell: The Drug’s Most Trusted Drug” and is one of the most successful actors in the film industry, says he and Herskovitz are both in on the idea of working on a film with Reidy. “I think Reidy has a very good idea for a film,” says Herskovitz, adding Reidy is “not a big movie fan, but he’s a great actor. He has a very good idea.”
Herskovitz said he will be writing and shooting “The Ingurt” for Reidy, who will be joining director/composer Jake Gyllenhaal (“Brokeback Mountain”) for the film.
“We’re a big fan of Gyllenhaal and are looking forward to doing this project. He’s an amazing actor and I’m sure he’s got his fans and his fans,” says Herskovitz. “The Ingurt will be a little different from the first time we did it. The thing with Reidy is, he’s a wonderful salesman and we’re not fans of him. I think he’s an extremely talented actor and he’s not afraid of a job. He’s got an amazing, great career. I think we’ll work on a couple of different film projects.”
Reidy is a drug salesman who has written a number of films including the “Viagra-like film “The Ingurt” and the “Love Story”.
“It’s an amazing movie and I think we’ll do a film with him and then we’ll see how that works. We’re not fans of Reidy and he’s not afraid of a job. He’s a great salesman. I think he’s got a great career,” says Herskovitz.
Herskovitz has been writing and shooting “The Ingurt” for Reidy since he was 25 years old. “He’s been working on the last couple of films as a director and co-writer.
